Flathers Family

Our family consist of 4 people

Kurt is my husband the father of our two girls.  He is the athletic trainer for Clinton Community Schools and also masqurades as the Information Technology Technician.  His first love is sports with football being the most important. His favorite college team is the University of Iowa with the St. Louis Rams as his favorite pro team.  He lives for the weekends in the fall when all three teams actually win the same weekend. He also collects comic books.

I am Colleen.  I am the wife and of course the mother of the two girls in this family.  I teach at-risk and alternative kids at the high school level.  While this is a vary challenging job it is one that I also love.  Besides my job and family, I love to scrapbook, read, and cross-stitch.  I am currently working on 4 different albums.  One album for each of the girls, an album of misc. family things, and a special album about our trip to Walt Disney World this summer.

Sarah is our oldest daughter and is currently in the 7th grade.  She is active in band, playing the clarinet, and in the school chorus.  She also loves the theater.  Last year she had a role in the children's chorus for the high school musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"  She also enjoys dancing specializing in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.  We joke that her theme song should be "There is no business like show business".  She also manages to find time for 4-H and picking on her little sister.

Kristen is our very outgoing, independent youngest child.  She is currently in the first grade and is very worried already about getting straight A's.  I haven't told her yet that they don't issue letter grades until 3rd grade. She is active in dance, ballet and tap.  She also can't wait until she is old enough for the band and to help her dad on the football field.
